About the List
Exoticbirds is a friendly group of bird people comprised of professional breeders, hobby breeders, pet owners, and other bird lovers. This list consists of both informative bird topics and informal conversation and chit chat. This list, unlike many, also allows subscribers to send photos (jpg please) to the list. Lurking is discouraged on Exoticbirds, we like everybody to come on out, introduce themselves and join in the conversations!
The volume on this list can get quite high, sometimes in excess of 300 posts a day. If you can't handle a lot of mail, you might want to subscribe to the digest version. This way you will receive only a couple of messages a day (containing large bundles of all the individual messages). There is a disadvantage to the digest format however; you will not receive any of the pictures sent to the list.
